4. The Devonian Botanic Gardens. Locates 20 minutes outside of the city these gardens are run by the University of Alberta.

5. The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald is located right in downtown Edmonton. It is one of the city's oldest hotels and overlooks the River Valley. Even if you don't want to stay there you can drop by, look around and have a meal in their restaurant.

6. The Winspear Centre. Listen to symphonies and musical performances. One of the top tourist attractions in Edmonton.

7. The Muttart Conservatory. The Muttart is located at the bottom of Connor's Hill in the Edmonton River Valley. It has 4 pyramids including a tropical, desert, temperate and show pyramid. It's warm even in the winter months.

8. The High level Streetcar. This streetcar was originally bought from Japan and you'll be able to tell from the Japanese Characters in the car it's original Heritage. It runs over the High Level Bridge in the summer time and leaves behind the old Strathcona Farmer's Market.

9. The Space and Science Center. The center has many educational and interactive displays including some about weather, space travel. It has an Imax screen and a dome theater called the Margaret Ziedler Star Theater.

10. Whyte Avenue. The central location of Edmonton's nightlife. It has shops, restaurants, clubs and bars. Best visited in the summer it will be alive with life on a Friday or Saturday evening.
